This past friday night, I was invited by the lovely Sarah, our dear friend and ‘socialite’ to the closing show “Dare to Wear Love” at World Mastercard Toronto Fashion Week. Clearly we needed to rock our best fascinators that night!
Decked in a Black Jumpsuit, Sarah wore a custom Lady Egypt Fascinator from our F/W10 Collection in Black and Blush. I have been DYING to wear Lady Envy somewhere from the new S/S12 Fascinator Collection, so I donned my favourite Suzy Chin Navy Dress, new Nine West Kitten Heels (because this milliner still has an injured foot…no 5″ stilettos for me…) and topped it off in Fabulous Green.
I’m not going to lie, we attracted a lot of attention at the show…as we sipped sparkling champagne, we had our photos taken by numerous guests and media outlets…love being papparazzi’d.
Today, much to my surprise, we found ourselves in both the “Trend” photo for Day 5 of Toronto Life and as a separate photo of the two of us! how freaking exciting.
Not to overshadow the event with our fabulous photos…The Dare to Wear Love show was incredible. Dare to Wear Love is a gala that closes out Fashion Week with proceeds benefiting the Stephan Lewis Foundation for HIV/AIDS in Africa. This show is a fun, upbeat show, that has 25 selected Canadian designers, create fabulous wearable art from 6 yards of African Cloth. These creations are worn by Canadian Celebrities, to name a fewJeanne Beker, Dina Pugliese, Chef Jamie Kennedy, Leesa Butler, etc…etc…Celebrities and models strutted their stuff on the runway for a great cause, and I was so thrilled to be a part of it!
here is Sarah and I in our two photos from Toronto Life and Please enjoy some beautiful shots of the Dare to Wear Love Show!
